Foods with vitamin k

In order to eat a healthy well-balanced diet, you will want to make sure that you don’t forget to eat foods with vitamin k.  The foods with vitamin k that are your best choices are green leafy vegetables like spinach or broccoli, or dairy products like cheese, and meats like liver.
Some other foods with vitamin k include asparagus, bacon, coffee, and yogurt.  Vitamin K is used to control blood clotting, to form and repair bones.  Recently, Vitamin K has also been used topically to help lighten skin blemishes and redness and promote healing of the skin.
If you are worried that you have a vitamin K deficiency, this might be apparent if you have internal hemorrhaging or frequent nosebleeds.  Ask your doctor if you need to take a supplement or if you should simply start eating more foods with vitamin k.  Keep a record of the foods you eat to find out if you are meeting the recommended daily allowance.  It is pretty rare to overdose on this vitamin, but taking a synthetic form in high doses could cause anemia and jaundice.
