Fish oil supplements

Have you heard that many people are using fish oil supplements to decrease the risk of heart disease?  More and more health conscious humans are adding omega-3 fatty acids to their diets every day.  The fish oil supplements on the market generally contain eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

Certain types of fish will provide you with the same fatty acids as fish oil supplements.  You might have previously believed that fat was bad for your diet, but recent studies have shown that certain fats are essential to your healthy, and having them in your diet keeps you at lower risk for cardiovascular illness.

Adding fish oil supplements to you diet can help to support your cardiovascular system, as well as your brain and nervous system.  Fish oils help to keep your arteries clear and so that you can maintain a healthy heartbeat and blood pressure.  If you are looking to add fish oils to your diet without taking a supplement, you should eat coldwater fish like tuna, mackerel, and sardines, at least twice a week.  If you are one of the many people who do not eat seafood, then a dietary supplement might be the answer for you.
